FinTech enables financial services outreaching to historically under-served markets and areas. It also inspires imaginative financial services that are impossible with traditional operating mode. FinTech, in fact, is at early mass adoption. There will be marvelous future for its development. This webinar explores the status and trends of Fintech development in Asia, China and Hong Kong.

Mr. Kenny Chien is the General Manager & Senior Vice President of Cherrypicks, a regional leader in mobile technology and eCommerce specializing in smart city, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, eWallet and location intelligence. He is a veteran of the ICT industry in China and Hong Kong. Prior to Cherrypicks, Kenny was the Director of Global Business in ESRI China (HK) overseeing business development in China and management of investments in new technologies.

Kenny is enthusiastic in support the ICT industry. He is the Chairman of Hong Kong Software Industry Association, Vice President of the Internet Professional Association, Council member of Smart City Consortium, and a Council member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Small and Medium Business. Kenny is also the President and co-founder of the eHealth Consortium.

Based in Hong Kong and covering Southern China, he is information security and risk management professional with more than 20 years experiences in a global financial institution, telecommunications and global professional services firm. He specializes in Cybersecurity, technology risk management, IT audit, data protection and privacy over a diverse industries, including financial services, public sector, retail, eCommerce and large scale conglomerates.

Elvie Lahournere is Director, Digital & Innovation, Asia Pacific at Natixis as part of the bank’s move towards digitalisation in the pursuit of creating high value-added solutions for its clients. In this role, Elvie is responsible for promoting and facilitating the Digital and Innovation Strategy across the APAC platform and the bank globally. Her main focus is on data analytics, customer experience and ESG impact. After 13 years of experience across Asia and Europe, with expertise in operational, and strategy development across different industries, Elvie has held senior roles with several technology and strategy businesses based in China such as Alten, Airbus and most recently Roland Berger.

Elvie holds a master degree in engineering and supply chain management and an Executive MBA from INSEAD – Tsinghua University. She demonstrates her commitment to tech ecosystem as a co-founder and vice president of French Tech Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Elvie is also an active member of Women in Tech, Women In Data, She Loves Tech, FinTech Association of Hong Kong and is a regular speaker at industry events across Asia
